Questions

Is there a trial?

Yes. Once licenses are on sale, you can ask for a free 14-day Trial Key at support@rotulus.io. (License agreement, section 2.6.)

What happens after 12 months?

An Annual License works for 12 months from the day its key is issued, in every version of Rotulus. We email reminders before it ends, and 14 days of grace follow. After that, presenting, Show Sync and the live view need a renewed key, while opening, editing, importing and exporting keep working. A renewal is bought by hand and is never charged automatically. (License agreement, sections 3.4 and 7.)

Can I use it on my backup machine?

Yes. Each License Key works on two computers at a time, for example a show computer and its Show Sync backup, including a client's computer while you work on it. (License agreement, sections 2.3 and 2.4.)

Does anything stop working without a key?

Presenting, any other playback of a script, Show Sync and the live view in Share Script in a Browser need a valid key. Opening, editing, importing, exporting and saving your scripts, and linking Google Docs, always work without one, and a show that is already running is never stopped for a licensing reason. (License agreement, sections 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2.)
